One of my favorite books that was given to me when I graduated was Oh! The Places You Will Go by Dr. Seuss. I found this video that someone did for their child or class. Something I like to read on the first and last day of school.

This picture means so much more to me now then it did then. This little girl arrived to Creek View not knowing any english. She moved to Georgia from Finland. Her parents both spoke beautiful english. This little girl learned so much in such a short time. Her shy little smile got bigger as the year progressed. Seven years later I find myself with my girls in this little girl's shoes. My little girls were just like her in the Finnish school system not knowing the language. I have learned so much from this experience living abroad and I have a much better appreciation for not only the children, but for the parents experiencing this culture change. I look forward to helping other parents that are experiencing these changes and may be I can help make this part of their experience a little easier.
These are two young boys that are a rap and singing duo. One of the boys was bullied and what they have done here is wonderful and inspirational. We must support children that are being bullied and find ways for these children to be able to feel safe and allow them to express themselves in different ways through music, art, theatre and writing.
